Shake ‘n Bake comes from a passion of creating cakes for those moments in life that are cause for celebration.

We as family and friends come together to celebrate life and all of its special moments.
Traditionally, we eat cake to signify a celebration.
Shake ‘n Bake was created to be that little place that knows exactly what “finishing touch” your celebration requires.

MY STORY

There’s nothing I love more than creating the perfect cake or cupcakes for a customer’s special occasion.
For the customer, everything should be perfect on their special day, whether it is for their birthday, wedding, kitchen tea, baby shower; or even as a gift from one person to another.
There is nothing quite like the perfect combination of a cake that looks just as beautiful as it tastes.
To some people, a cake can be seen as just a “minor detail” at any event.
To me, it is the centrepiece that every person at the party gets to indulge in.


“Shake ‘n Bake has been a long sought-after dream of mine. From a very young age, I was constantly in the kitchen using new and different ingredients to create wonderful-tasting cakes. I wanted to create new and exciting things. This is why the majority of my school holidays consisted of me baking cakes and biscuits rather than playing outside or going to the movies with friends.


For years, friends of the family would ask me if I wanted to be a chef when I grew up one day.
My answer was always a very enthusiastic, “YES!” Owning my own business always seemed to be the only answer
I gave to people when they asked where I would like to work one day.

Shake ‘n Bake developed from baking the odd cake, or cupcakes, for family and friends for birthdays and weddings. The more orders and constant positive feedback I received, the more I realised how much I wanted this little venture of mine to grow and expand into something more than waiting for the occasional relative’s birthday. Creating my own cakes and having the freedom to experiment with
new flavours and combinations is something I am passionate about. Each cake created by Shake ‘n Bake is finished off in its own special way.
I believe this adds a sense of uniqueness to each and every cake.
